  • EcoTestr™ pH 2+ Pocket pH Meter

    OAKTON Instruments

This new addition to the Oakton EcoTestr product line features updates to make measuring water quality easier and faster. The display is larger with a better viewing angle, has indicators for battery life, readiness, and calibration, and shows both the parameter and temperature readings at the same time. To enhance field use, the cap was redesigned to be leakproof and can be attached to the top of the meter when not being used—no more lost caps! The cap features a fill line, so you know how much sample you need for an accurate reading when using the cap as a sample cup. It is also wider, providing a base to keep the meter upright for hands-free measurements. The keypad now has a fourth key to simplify menu navigation while keeping convenient one-touch calibration. The new housing is compatible with lanyards to prevent losing or dropping, but is still waterproof and floats just in case.

  • Paper Moisture Meters

    PCE Instruments

A paper moisture meter measures the humidity of paper and paper products. Use of a paper moisture meter can prevent costly damages resulting from paper expansion or shrinking. A paper moisture meter determines paper moisture content based on either absolute humidity or relative humidity. Absolute humidity does not take into consideration temperature, while relative humidity relies on temperature and is expressed as a percentage of the total amount of moisture possible at the current temperature. Thus, many paper moisture meter devices feature automatic temperature compensation (ATC).For paper producers, paper manufacturers, paper mills and others in the pulp and paper industry, moisture and humidity control is essential, especially during the production process, as excessive moisture can lead to warming of the paper rolls. A paper moisture meter can be used to detect moisture streaks during the paper production process as well as to identify optimal drying times.Regardless of whether paper is stored in paper rolls in paper converting plants or stacked in sheets and paper bales in commercial printing warehouses, the porous surface of paper gradually takes in moisture relative to the humidity of the surrounding environment. This moisture can be problematic, as too much moisture can cause curling, buckling or the formation of waves in otherwise flat paper products. Moisture also can prevent inks, dyes, paints and coatings from covering and saturating paper properly during printing and processing.PCE Instruments (PCE) offers digital handheld moisture meter devices for measuring the moisture content of paper and paper products such as cardboard, paperboard, corrugated boxes, craft paper, wrapping paper, brown packaging paper, butcher paper, recycled paper, coated paper and more. Different paper moisture meter models utilize different paper moisture measuring techniques, performing moisture content tests of paper products via either destructive or nondestructive methods. Typically, a standard pinless paper moisture meter is nonpenetrating, thus allowing for the nondestructive measurement of paper water content.

  • Valve Leak Measurement System

    VLMS - G Systems, l.p.

The G Systems Valve Leak Measurement System (VLMS) reliably measures slow leaks that are unidentifiable with conventional leak detectors, helping manufacturers test and ensure that critical valves are absolutely airtight. The G Systems VLMS is a self-contained counting instrument for automating the industry-standard practice of leak detection by bubble formation using a submerged tube in water. The G Systems VLMS provides accurate measurement of leaks that are too small for conventional flow meters to reliably detect and is ideal for applications that must be absolutely airtight, including medical device, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and plumbing valves.

Digital models are typically used as discrete sensors that are portable and located to provide short term information. (By contrast, please select Analog Sensors if you don’t need a digital display output of the reading, if you will be connecting to your own datalogger, or if you plan to use a voltage source to provide excitation voltage to the sensor and a digital volt or amp meter to read and convert the results. Analog Sensors are typically used as process sensors that are permanently installed to provide ongoing information.)

  • Belimo Energy Valve

    BlueLight Technologies

The Energy Valve is a pressure-independent valve that measures and manages coil energy by using an embedded electromagnetic or ultrasonic flow meter, along with supply and return water temperature sensors. The Energy Valve also has the patented Power Control and Belimo Delta T Manager logics built-in that monitor coil performance and optimize the available energy of the coil by maintaining the Delta T. In addition to the standard analog signal and feedback wiring, it communicates its data to the building management system via BACnet MS/TP or BACnet IP. The built-in web server collects up to 13 months of data that can be downloaded to external tools for further optimization. Some of these features contribute to LEED points.
